TIMBER!

Question: "If a tree is cut around the church, and no one is there to hear it fall, does it still make more parking space?" The answer is YES! We've been working on parking this week on the back side of the church. A few trees were cut and dirt is being leveled and more gravel is going to be brought in to make several more parking spots.

This area was originally designed in our plans to be parking but nothing was ever done with it until now. We praise the Lord that we're able to do this at this time when parking is so critical.

I want you to know that when we give our tithes and offerings the money we all give goes to many different places. It does go keep the bills paid in the church, it goes to missionaries all over the world, it goes to help us put on community outreaches like the South Hill Mall events but a portion of it also stays here and helps us to maintain and upgrade our facilities.

The way I see it, parking IS OUTREACH! The more parking spaces we have and can make available, the more families that can come and have a meaningful worship experience with God and fellowship and make connections with others.

In a sense we can look at this SOLUTION to our parking problems as "Your Tithe Dollars At Work." As you all know, this work isn't free and it's only made possible by the faithful giving of our church family as God blesses us.

One other thing, this work behind the church is just PART of the solution to our parking woes. Our property and space team is working with the county to secure permits and file the proper paper work to pave the long drive and make 36 more parking stalls down the drive toward Shaw Road. Please pray for everything to work out with all the paperwork.

No, you don't have to be here to hear the trees fall, but when you show up on the next few Sundays and see our on going progress, you'll know that by your faithful giving you are helping to reach more men, women, boys and girls for Jesus.

P.S.: Do you know what happens to frogs when they park illegally?

A: They get toad.
